Dungeons and Dragons

Oh how I love my D&D boys!! You would be here every day all day playing if you could. Alas…. there isn’t enough room for that.

BUT… I have made it so that you can play every Friday from 2:30 to 5:30. Starting June 13th and going until August 1st.

Please note that we are closed on July 4th. And no, I won’t come in just so that you can play that day. For the love of all that’s good, spend some time with your families!!
:)

NOW, for those of you who are curious about D&D. It is a very cool game. You know all those video and computer games where you go about as a elf or dwarf or something and kill things and collect treasure and what not… Those games are based on D&D. This is the real thing. Face to face adventuring without any kind of screen in front of you. Just some dice and a character sheet. Be sure to tell your mom. It will make her happy to know you are interacting with real people and using your imagination.

The thing about D&D is that it isn’t really a game where you can jump in and play immediately unless you have a patient person who is willing to hold your hand and guide you. (Thank you David from high school for holding my hand and being patient with me.)

How about a day to learn the game? My current gamers can teach you everything you need know to get started. Im also hoping that one of them will talk to people about how to become a Dungeon Master so that we can have several groups going.

In fact, there’s been some talk of having an all girl group.

Now the all day thing is in the planning stages. But I wanted to put it out there for you all to think about and comment on. Tell me your ideas. This thing can’t happen without them.

Oh and btw, I’m looking at a Saturday in July for this event.

Hey, For all of you that are thinking about coming in to play D&D, the new edition (4th) is coming out in early June. So, before you go out there and spend a whole bunch of money on books, be sure you’re getting the right ones.

Thanks to all of you for taking the time to read these posts and I hope to see you soon!

Question? Do you guys plan to stick with the 3.5 version of the game or move on to the 4th edition?

Um, either/or, we’re not sure yet, though some of us will be getting the new books, I don’t think everyone will be getting them.
