Looking at 2007

Every year around this time I start to think about how the year has flown and I’m absolutely floored that it is almost time for the new one to start.

The good news is….

The start of the new year means new programs at the library for those of you who are between 5th and 9th grades. Here are some of them that I have in mind. Let me know what you think.

Jan. 18, 2007 6:00 p.m.
Dungeons and Dragons organizational meeting.
This is for those people who have been bugging me to get Dugeons and Dragons going at the library. We will get together and do what needs to be done to get this up and running.

If you think that you would like to be part of our D&D group, it is important for you to be here.

Jan. 25, 2007 6:00 p.m. Young Adult Writing Group A time to share and write together. Hopefully we can think of a name for our group that sounds more fun.

Feb. 15, 2007 6:00 p.m.
Chocolate Fest
Yep, all the chocolate fun that we can think of.

Thursdays in March. Time TBA
Cupcakes Lemonade and Money
Super fun, not at all boring or dreary creative writing
Writing isn’t just a dreadful thing that teachers assign. It can be a blast. And when we get together, it usually is.

Think you aren’t a writer? Do you text? Do you email? Do you write notes to your friends when you should be listening to the teacher? Are you creative and imaginative? Do you want to be creative and imaginative?

If you said yes to any of those things then Cupcakes Lemonade and Money is for you.

Apr. 19, 2007 6:00 p.m.
Medieval Festival
Still in the planning stages. I’m thinking that banana jousting has to be a hoot, so we will have to give it a whirl.

I’m entirely geeked about the upcoming programs and I hope you are too. Let me know if you have any ideas or suggestions.

I love, love, love to hear what you think!!
