Oh geez, I don't even know where to start
There is so much to say! First of all there are programs going on between now and summer. And then there is summer reading. This library is hopping.
Let’s start with here and now. Like one week from today.
DDR

DDR!!! It’s here!! Hurrah!!!
Except that I have no idea how to use it. So… you come and show me. I’m thinking.. 6 to 8 p.m. and we will figure out how to do a DDR program.
BTW, DDR stands for Dance Dance Revolution which is a super cool Playstation 2 game that I hear everyone loves. And I know someone who lost 70 lbs doing it. I mean, obviously not in one night. But still, it counts as exercise so you can tell your parents that it is good for you. We know that we are just doing it for fun though.
Here’s a warning, don’t expect this to be a super organized, everyone knows what they are doing kind of event. But, if you know me, you weren’t expecting that anyway.
Dungeons and Dragons!!!
Still going strong. I have some very dedicated players who are here every chance they get. And if you would like to be one of them you are absolutely welcome.
For those of you who don’t know Dungeons and Dragons is a role playing game. I’m sure there is more info on the blog you just have to scroll down to it.
Anyhoo… The important thing…
Thursday, April 26, 2007 from 6 to 8 p.m. Dungeons and Dragons Be there!
Wacky Writers!!
I love writing. And I love the writers who come and play with me. It is always a good time. We will be meeting also on Thursday, April 26, from 6 until around 7 p.m.
And then you can go jump into the D&D game if you are interested.
Prompt…
Here’s a writing prompt if you want some inspiration…
Looking into the mirror
Write something and send it to me
Upcoming…
OK… coming up….
In May…
There will be more Dungeons and Dragons and Wacky Writers. Check the site again for specific dates. Or email me. I love email.
Tweens Planning Council will meet May 3rd at 5:30.
For those who don’t know, TPC helps come up with ideas for programs and so forth. And I couldn’t live without them. Come and join the fun.
In June…
In June we are going to have a Duct Tape sculpture contest. Think paper mache but with duct tape. I need to work on rules and so forth so keep an eye on this blog for more info about that.
The theme for summer reading is You Never Know. It is a mystery thing. TPC has come up with some really great ideas for summer programs like mystery crafts and games and a scavenger hunt. We will have Pizza and Pages on Fridays at noon. And there will be the summer reading club where you read books for the chance to win groovy prizes. Grand prize is two tickets to Newport Aquarium.
Whew… that’s a lot of stuff. I hope that you can make it to all the fun.

i remembre it like it was yesterday this is where it all began wacky writers and teen planning that was when i started at the library. before i was famous for cheese or before i learned how to play ddr. Before i was a freiend of duct tape and before i knew anyone i met at the library. it has been over 7 months now.

That was a beautiful day Kyle. The day when you came to play at the library. Sigh. It brings a smile to the soul.
