VERY IMPORTANT Youth Advisory Meeting

January 11, 2007 at 5:30 in the conference room

Before I say anything else I’d like to note that VERY IMPORTANT does not equal VERY BORING. We always like to have a good time.

If I’ve said it once I’ve said it a thousand times, I have the coolest job in the world. And a big reason is the truly magnificent kids I get to hang out with.

Last night a few of us were decorating the duct tape couch and talking about the youth advisory group. The suggestion was made that we elect officers and put you guys in charge of the meetings.
Cool!! Because then I’d pretty much just have to show up and be the adult!

So… if you are interested in being involved with the youth advisory group, this is an important meeting to attend. We will talk about officers and quite likely elect some. Plus we need to talk about a mission statement so that we have some kind of clue about what we want to accomplish as a group.

The people last night had a lot of ideas for projects and fun things that we could do. Please bring your ideas to the meeting. If you want to share them before then, email me. I would love to hear from you.

Can’t wait to see you!!!

P.S. Don’t forget about the Dungeons and Dragons meeting that will be on January 18th at 6:00. This is for anyone interested in playing D&D

AND the Writer’s Group that will meet at 6:00 p.m. on January 25th. This is for anyone who likes to write. We will hang out and talk about writing stuff, share our creative endeavors and so forth.

OH, ONE MORE THING...
all of these events are for people in 5th through 9th grades. If you are younger, I’m sorry, your time will come. If you are older, email me and we will talk about programming ideas for high school people.

Happy Holidays and ttfn :) Shonica
