Wacky Writers Workshop for 5th thru 9th graders
The first session of our writing workshop was last night and a fun time was had by all. We wrote stories based on the prompts Sunflower Island or Kooky Grandma’s Convention and we wrote One sentence at a time stories where everyone writes a sentence and then passes it to the person next to them who writes and sentences and so on. They were quite brilliant.
If you missed last night and wish that you hadn’t, come and join us next week as we continue our silly adventure with stories and words. Weeks three and four we plan to polish our favorite goofy stories to put into books that will be cataloged into our library’s collection. We will share our wackiness with everyone in Jefferson County. Cool!!
So don’t forget…
Thursdays from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.
Sept. 4th, 11th & 18th
See you there!!

Gosh I love writing with you guys. It is so inspiring!
If you were not able to make it to the last session, which was yesterday, Sept 18th, don’t panic. Email any stories that you want to be included in our ‘book’. PLEASE send me your stories, or poems. I’d love to add them.
There are requests for more of these writing sessions. Super cool that you love them as much as I do. So don’t forget that November is National Novel Writing Month. We will have weekly write ins here at the library for those who want to participate, or for those who just want to hang out and write. It’ll be fun.
