Free Wireless Access @ Your Library
With a laptop and a wireless card (802.11b/g) you can use our high-speed Internet service anywhere in the library. Wireless access is available at the main library as well as the Hanover branch.
Using the computer
In order to use the computers at the Madison or Hanover library, you will need to have a valid library card or photo ID (driver’s license, passport photo, or picture ID).
Getting connected
Windows (XP to 7) and Mac OS X can automatically detect wireless services. Connect to “MJCPL,” open a browser window and go to any website. You will then be directed to our gateway — accept the security certificate, read the rules, enter your email address and you will be connected.
Computer hours
Our computers and wireless are available from opening until approximately 30 minutes before closing. There is a 2 hour time limit each day per patron. If you are working on something important, please make certain that you save your material before this time.
