Literacy Month kick-off events

Tuesday, Sept. 4, is the kick off date for Literacy Month.

Literacy Coordinator Lisa Smitley will be on WORX-radio to discuss the real face of illiteracy and how it affects us all, what services are available and what you can do to help. Listen into 96.7fm at 3:30 p.m.

At 5:30 p.m. at Madison City Hall, Mayor Al Huntington will mark the importance of this issue by presenting a proclamation at the City Council meeting. Please come and show your support. Tutors and Students will be on hand to share their experiences and answer questions.

Open a window to the world. Teach someone to read. Become a tutor!
