Welcome to the MJCPL’s local heritage reference service. This service is designed to provide brief, factual answers to reference questions via email.

Please complete and submit the form below providing details where possible. The question will be reviewed by our specialist and answered as soon as possible.

Beyond quick questions, we also perform limited searches for historical or genealogical information. The library charges $5 for the search and 10 cents per copy, plus postage. You must have basic information to contribute, as the library does not do a complete genealogical history.

Our local heritage balcony is staffed Monday and Friday 1-5 p.m., Thursday 4-9 p.m. and Saturday 9-5 p.m. Feel free to call with questions at (812) 265-2744.
