Welcome to our new online catalog!
We’re very excited to introduce SCION — the Shared Catalog of Indiana Online.
We’re working with more than 30 Indiana libraries to bring you a better experience in finding great books, DVDs and more!
The software has many new features. We’ll soon share details, but let’s hit the ground running.
Here are some quick tips. Click on the images below for closeups of our new system! (Clicking on the zoomed image takes you to the next image).
Type in what you’re looking for!
Pull down the “library catalog” menu to select a search by title, author, subject, etc. Leave it unchanged to search all words.
If you’re searching from home, log in on this page with your library card number and four-digit PIN. Logging in allows you to search just our library and provides benefits such as easily placing holds and building personal booklists!
Search results
The new results page allows you to sort and narrow your search. For details and shelf location click the item title!
Individual item page
There are all kinds of details about our materials on this page. As we’re sharing the system, look for our library to find the shelf location.
We don’t have it?
We can order new items new or request older items from other libraries! Just let us know!
I want to renew my books…
Update! From the golden search bar, simply click “Account & Renew.” Once you’re signed in, you can click “Renew” next to the items checked out. That simple. We can still renew materials here at the library and also by phone at (812) 265-2744.
More tips and details to come!

I will miss being able to renew online. I use that feature all the time with the current system. Will that be available soon?

I really don’t like this new online catalog thingy. It’s too confusing to see if you have a book in because there are like 38572837098 more libraries listed along with it. I don’t like change, change makes me panic and causes anxiety attacks. How is this any easier? It’s just more confusing. Why would it help me to know that the book I want is available in every library across the state but not my library? Oh yes, it’s so much more helpful. NOT
