Girls Who Code

Join Girls Who Code and use Computer Science to change the world! When you join, you will be able to learn from fun and simple online coding tutorials, build community through interactive activities, and learn about inspiring role models. You then work in teams to design and build a Girls Who Code Project that solves real world problems you care about through code! This free program lasts for 15 weeks. Participants are encouraged to bring their own laptop, but may also use one of ours. This club is intended for girls in grades 6-12. Registration is required.

The Accelerated Reader (AR) Bookfinder allows you to search for book titles based on authors, topics, or titles of books. You can also search by interest level, book level, Lexile measure, fiction, and nonfiction.

Browse this collection of educational and entertaining ebooks, audiobooks, and read-alongs for kids and teens on OverDrive, which is accessible with a Jefferson County Public Library card.

What’s Next? Books in Series

The What's Next? Books in Series database helps you search series fiction and find what book comes next in the series. A series is two or more books linked by character(s), settings, or other common traits (e.g., Sue Grafton's "A is for Alibi", "B is for..." etc. or the "Star Wars" series).

World Book Online

World Book Online is an engaging, verified, and trustworthy digital resource for grades pre-K through high school. It is a suite of online research tools that includes encyclopedia articles, primary source collections, educator tools, student activities, educational games, pictures, audio, and video, complemented by current periodicals and related Web sites.
